How does the iPad work for creating, sharing, and distributing iWork documents to students? How does Keynote work for you for displaying your presentations?

If you can, please set up a free account at iWork.com and comment on its viability as a "go-between" for documents.

I scanned documents and I will finish a pdf file for Aditi to use on her iPad. I think it's a great way to go paperless.

Paperless is tough in mathematics, and I'm having trouble imagining how we could make the iPad work regularly in mathematics classes. Does the iPad have an app that offers some type of stylus that would allow students to write and work through math problems?

I was easily able to display a keynote presentation for my class. Tristan's idea of scanning documents would be labor-intensive with current scanners. I would be interested if there was a better option, as I have numerous handouts that could potentially be scanned for student access. I don't know if I'll be able to share other work with students, but I was easily able to share a document with klay.

I've commented on this elsewhere already. Sharing documents is the big issue, as I see it. And, I would imagine that will be addressed soon through apps. Right now, email is about the only solution, as iWork.com is rather unreliable. I'd imagine we'll see other solutions in the near future.

My biggest concern is not being able to print and having to add the extra step of creating on an I pad and thrn emailing to print the actual document.

I tried to set up an iWork account but even when I reset my apple account password it didn't work for some reason. But, I didn't have any plans to distribute documents to students or use presentations, so it was ok. I might, though! I can imagine some great possibilities.

If the voice recognition application works, this would be great for kids who have difficulty writing. I took it with me to a meeting as we walked about the campus and could take notes that I emailed to everyone. That was VERY handy.
