You could go up and ask anyone what they think the planet Earth will look like in 50 years. Most children will reply the same things; flying cars, new technology, robots, and no more schooling. Well, guess what? None of that will be humanely possible in 50 years if we continue to combust and ignite fossil fuels at the same rate we are currently using. Like we talked about in science class on February 1st , if you take one little part out of our carbon cycle, there will be a noteable difference. The article we all hopefully read clearly stated that if you continue to burn fossil fuels, more greenhouse gases will be discharged into the air. This can happen speedily over many years. When this event occurs, we will not be able to maintain a balance within cycles of the Earth. Personally, I want the Earth to reduce their needs for fossil fuels. If we can do that one step at a time, we can retain Earth's natural beauty.

I agree with Josh, but what I want to see is a little bit different. In 50 years I want Earth to be filled with wildlife reserves, protected forests, solar panels, and wind mills. I would also like to see more local vegetable garden that people can pay to pick or just little stands selling vegetables, because that cuts down on the carbon produced by long distance food travel. 50 year from now I want to see the young people of that generation being involved in gardens, like we are at school. That would make a large change. We need to start replanting forests now and get more people using solar and wind power.

I agree with both Josh and Sydney. If you go up to someone and ask them what they think Earth would look like in 50 years, they would say all of the things they dream of. But I would like to see much more wildlife, just like Sydney. I hope that we will stop using so many fossil fuels, and start helping the forests and animals. I like Sydney's ideas of using wind mills and solar panels. I also think that if we stop driving as much we will start to save more fossil fuels, and use less Carbon Dioxide. I think that everyone should should at least have a small garden, and together, we can save the Earth.

I agree with Kate, Sydney, and Josh. In 50 years I want Earth to have lots of wildlife. I also think at least everyone to have a garden at there house. I also think we should maybe start eating more food that is near our area so we don't have to use so many fossil fuels. I agree with Josh because some people think that in 50 years there are going to be new inventions and flying cars. That will use up lots of fossil fuels and it will pollute the planet. I don't want that. I want there to be wildlife everywhere.

I agree with everyone in 50 years I want the earth to be better than it ever was. We should start walking and riding bikes more to help the environment and save more fossil fuels. If everyone just plants a tree or a few plants it would make the earth better. In 50 years there will be new cars and things that will probably need a lot of fossil fuel. Every body wants new things but if we invent those new things people don't realize what their doing to the earth. It pollutes the earth a lot. We should find more resources around our area and people should plant their own vegetables and fruit so not as much stuff has to be shipped to us because semi's and ships use a good amount of fossil fuels. I want there to be the same animals and more trees and wildlife in 50 years.

In 50 years I want the planet to look green and rich in wildlife. There should be more forests and wildlife preserves. Since we have knowledge about climate chance, why aren't we giving it more attention? I agree with Grace on that we should start eating more foods that are from our area so that there won't be fossil fuels being burnt to transfer the food from other areas. Since we are more aware about the climate change, there have been new cars that have been made. They are electric and don't use gasoline (a fossil fuel) to power them. A downside to that is you need to charge them often. Things we can do today to help prevent more climate change is to try to put more effort into recycling and composting. We can also start to replant more of our forests and use windmills and solar panels for our electricity. There are many ways to help contribute to climate change. Just by doing one of many things can help change the world forever.

I agree with Ali. In 50 years I want the world to have lots of wildlife and look green. I think we should start
car pulling more, if we are going to use cars. We should also start walking more and riding bikes. We can help prevent
more climate change by more recycling. I agree with Sydney that we should use windmills and solar panels.
We can plant new trees in forests too. If you put some effort into this it can make a big difference in our would.

Recently, in a Time For Kids magazine, I read about the best inventions of 2010. The magazine featured a wide variety of futuristic inventions even though they are already here. If inventors keep on going at this rate, it is unfathomable what innovations we could have in 50 years. Maybe, as Josh mentioned, flying cars would become a commonality. The article mentioned the invention of the AirPod, a car that runs on pressurized air, and can travel upto130 miles between fill-ups. I think the invention of the AirPod could become the future of ground transportation and save the Earth from the effects of greenhouse gases.

With no consumption of carbon fuels, this car will not generate harmful fumes or carbon emissions, thereby making it both health and environment friendly. The use of pressurized air as a source of energy will help reduce energy costs. It will also reduce our dependence on fossil fuels as the primary source of energy for our growing transportation needs. This is especially important, as stocks of fossil fuels will eventually run out.

We have to decrease our dependence on fossil fuels. We have to make lifestyle changes in terms of driving less and biking, walking, or using public transport more. We have to cut down on travel, save electricity by turning off lights and water faucets when not in use, and recycling whenever possible. If we can reduce fossil fuel usage, the Earth will be on track to being a better place.

In 50 years I want the Earth to have more wild life and have more forests than it does today. Somethings that we can do to help this happen is if you live close to school ride your bike, but if it is to cold outside and you live to far away from school ride the bus. That would help because then you aren't using as much oil, gas,(which are fossil fuels) and plastics. What happens when we use our cars is that all kinds of oils and gases pollute the environment. This will cause less trees and plants to produce oxygen and then we or anything else wouldn't be able to live in this environment.

In 50 years I want to the world to be green and have lots of wildelife. I agree with Ali if we know about the climate change why aren't we doing anything abot it to change. I think we sould have more things like wind mills maybee each house could have one, like there own pesanal power sorce. I also think that we could eat more food from gardens in 50 years it would be cool to have almost every house have a garden. Another thing is a wile ago a lot of people walked or rode bikes but now every one drives I am not saying that everyone has to walk but maybee carpool more. The other thing is the bus a great thing because a lot of peole can fit instead of everyon takeing cars. The downside is the gas that you have to put in it because the buses use a lot of gas, a fosil fuel.In 50 years I want the world to be better than ever.

100 years ago people worried about how big a mess horses were. If the population got any bigger carriages would clog up the street, and what would they do with all the horse manure. We solved that problem with technology and cars. Now people want fewer cars but something better. 100 years ago, people thought the idea of cars was great. Now people have problems with cars. When we come up with something that is supposed to be new and "better", will people have problems with the new invention?

As you read in the reading there are many strengths and weaknesses in the world. As you keep reading you found out there still is hope. We do have the write tools to fix our world. I agree with Natalie about having to carpool, but why not just hop on your bike or even walk to somewhere close. I live about 2 minuets away from Prairie and everyday I ride in the car to school. When it gets a little warmer I will try to ride my bike or walk more often. In about 50 years I will children and grandchildren of my one. I would like them to live a happy lifestyle with no pollution. In 50 years of course everyone wants the world to be all hi-tech and newly improved, well in 50 years I want the world to look clean and healthy. Sure, cool gadgets would be nice, but isn't it just about our world and if it is healthy?!?! We all have to take a change in our lifestyle to work this whole thing out. It sure won't be easy, but it will be worth it in the end!

It's really cool to know how we can help the world like the carbon sinks. I would like to see the world 50 years from now more clean by recylcing things that you can, because if you just throw it away in the regular trash then it might end up in the ocean were a sea might mistake a plastic bag for a jellyfish, and that if we all use paper towls every day more trees are cut down. I think it would be very to have something cool but next month they will just come out with something better. So help to make a dream become a reality

In 50 years I want to see people change. People like us know how to change the earth, and we should do it. It is not like we have to do it either, but we should. Once we think about it, we can see that we are the ones who should take pride for our earth. All over the world, we know people are helping the earth to grow and be a total different earth. So ways we can change that are not cutting down trees, recycle, don't use as much water, and plenty plenty more. Climate change. Greenhouse gases can change. We know how. We know why we should. And we know that this is what we are ment to do. CO2 has been rising since 1750. We can change that. In class we learned its not that good to have a lot of CO2 in are atmosphere. Animals need our help more than we need theirs. So climate change is one a way we can help the earth. Which is exactly what we want to do.

I think that there are many things we need to do to get our environment to what we think it will be in 50 years. I would like our earth to be a clean planet with lots of greenery. If there was greenery, then chances are there would also be a-lot more wildlife. To make Earth a clean planet we could grow gardens and eat home-made food or locally home grown food so that the amount of CO2 that is produced from transporting food will be lower. Also carpooling is a good idea as some already mentioned. Another possibility is if everyone would plant a tree or shrub in their yard, we would soon produce more homes for animals and insects. That is how I would like Earth to look in 50 years and how we can do so.

I agree with Emma. We really need to do something about the environment. There are plenty of ways to change the environment in 50 years. I think we should cut down on our shower time, stop cutting down trees, and recycle. I think that we should clean up the trash that we see laying around, and don't litter. I wish that in 50 years the world can have more wildlife and more trees than we do today. I also think that if you live close to a friend you should car pool to school. Thats what I wish the environment should look like in 50 years.

The next 50 years people will say robots will take over the world but it will never come true but someone will make a robot but they will not take over. but i think the trees will grow back and no one is going to cut down trees then we will have more oxygen to breath, and more people will have flowers and will not use any more cars we will walk or ride bikes to work and school. i think we could cut back on fossil fulls and ride are bike to work or school but if there handy capt they can ride in cars and not cut less trees down.Fact:When the amount of greenhouse gases are in the atmosphere they rises, and earths will rises also causing a change in climate.
