When I am 62 or in 50 years I think the earth with look pretty bad. If everyone helps a little bit and stops global warming then we will be o.k. but some people think that the earth is safe and that they don't care about the cute little polar bears but if they die then everything will start to die. Our earth will be FULL of garbage and when you go outside it will smell disgusting and look disgusting. It will affect people with asma because the gas hurts the lungs, Eventually all people will die if no one takes action. So it is hard to say but I think it will look disgusting.

While, fifty years form now I will be 62 years old. I think the earth will maybe be warmer. I heard read several articles on "global warming," and several of them state different things. So, I'm still not totally convinced that this "global warming," is a main issue. But, since I'm predicting the future, based on the article I just read I guess the temperature of the earth is going to rise. A step I can take now is to buy a hybrid car. Another step we can take is burning less fossil fuels. I think an amazing way to solve this problem of energy is to use nuclear power. Just like in France. We have the technology, it is the less expensive than solar and wind power; and its proven, why don't we use this method? That's my take on "climate change."

I think in 50 years the earth will be one pig pool of water. The polar ice caps are melting because of people using to much electricity. People should stop using cars. 1. because you waste your money on it 2. its bad for the enviorment. You could carpool on your way to school or you could ride your bike.

I think that in fifty years from now, I will be 62 years old, and our world won't look the way it does now. The polar ice caps may melt, and the air will be filled with gases. The earth may change in temperature. It may get hotter or colder. Most people are saying warmer right now. A way we can stop destroying our planet, is we can burn less fossil fuels, weather its taking your bike instead of a car if its a short distance. Maybe car pool if you and your friend is going to the same place. Something you can do if you have to take a car and you can't carpool, is you can buy a hybrid car. Burning less fossil fuels is good for the earth. Our air will stay cleaner. I think that in 50 years, if everyone keeps doing what they're doing now, we will destroy our earth. But we can change that by doing a few simple things, like I listed here.

Well 50 years is a long time away but is see myself in a nursing home orin an apartment considering i'll be 62. But I imagine that so many people will think other people will help the earth that they don't take action themselves. So i think that the temp will raise but not so much that we will all die. I'm pretty sure that crops will still be able to grow and it won't be so hot that the moment you walk outside you will scorch. I think at the very most Wisconsin will be like California and thats at the very most. Also I'm pretty sure the poler ice caps will melt but it won't be as bad as we anticipate. What i mean is in 50 years we would probly invent something that would at least reduce the flooding. So bottom line I think we could all just stop assuming just don't assume that other people will help take action and help out yourself. Go down to the flower shop, help your community by starting a nature club, walk to school if you live close by don't drive, take hikes to get you in better shape for the walking and so you won't be inside wasting electricity by watching t.v. or playing video games. go outside and run to get in shape for the hiking. Use solar, water, or wind power to, save even more electricity. Do all this if the world doesn't end in 2012

Well 50 years from now I will be 62, and I hope planet earth looks the same as it is today. Now I want it to look the same, but I would like it if the amounts of CO2 and greenhouse gases will be lower. Some steps to take is find a renewable energy source. I remember I saw an Exxon Mobil commercial about using algae as an energy source, algae is extremely abundant, and grows very quickly so that would be a really good energy source that wouldn't run out. We could also stick with the renewable energy sources we already have like solar panels and wind turbines. You could also do things that save energy like ride your bike to places and such.

In 50 years I will be 62 and I think the temperature will keep rising in till we all do something to help. Some steps that we can take are: going to local farmers markets as often as you can the food tastes better and you know where it came from (nearby, not China like everything else). Another thing is vacation closer to home such as going to Wisconsin Dells (this will cut down on all the gas we use in air planes and cars). My last thing is if the grocery store is two blocks away and all you need is a gallon of milk please don't take the car, ride your bike or walk.

In 50 years I will be 62 and I hope that everyone helps stop global warming because along time ago the Earth didn't have global warming and now we do have it and it is destroying the Earth that we live on. The Earth would be a lot different because it is natural but we are speeding it up, and if we keep speeding up we might not live till we are 62 (not likely). I read a book and it was about global warming. It was saying that we have great technology but they come with a price which that isn't good for us, which right now is pollution. Then it is up to them to save it, and one of the main character gets kids to help by a blog. But we can help get the world cleaner to help the people in the future so the don't have to help a lot for our mess.

In 50 years from now I think there will be new inventions and things like that. If people keep using to much electricity, and keep cutting down trees there will be so much carbon in the world. The carbon around the earth will keep building up and the earth will be so hot. People will have to use more electricity to cool themselves down. If we cut down on how many train shipments there are we wont have to burn all that coal and wont let go of so much carbon. You don't need to cut down forests just to put up an ugly building. It is not an emergency to fill up the forest with buildings. You are letting tons of carbon in to the air when you cut down all those trees. The only place there will be a forest is on hiking trails. That's not good. Before you cut down those innocent trees think before you do. If we all do something to help the earth will be a better, cooler place to live.

@bridger i agree i hope that earth is the same but as much as we hope we can't have if we don't do anything. and were will we get algie at will we cant go to the gas station and fill our cars with algi

Ill be 62 in exactly 50 years. I hope that the world will have efficient ways of traveling, getting rid of junk, and processing stuff that now would have to produce smoke. I hope that as a result of all that innovation that the CO2 levels will drop substantially. That would only happen if the world starts thinking green. We find new enviromently safe energy sources or use the ones that we have like solar power. We could also find better ways of commuting. We could bike or if it is close enough walk to places instead of driving. Also we could find hobbies that help out like gardening. While i am on this topic, I think we should have commercially available jetpacks in 50 years.

I think that in 50 years the earth will get worse but, if we all take a part in helping the earth that it will look better. Some ways to help the earth are riding your bike or walking, and if your parents are planning on getting a new car they can get a hybrid car. Recycling and reusing is really east to do to. All of these are easy to do, like unplugging chargers when there not in use, or turning off the lights.

In fifty years from now I'll be 61 years old, and unfortunately I think the earth will look a lot worse then it does today. The polar ice caps will be melting because the earth is trapping to much greenhouse gases which is making the earths temperature rise. After a while if that keeps on happening that would not be good because then it'll be too hot. Also when the polar ice caps melt the sea level would rise a lot over fifty years. That means that the earth will eventually flood, and it'd be a disaster. Hopefully people don't cut down as many trees as they're doing right now. The number of trees is decreasing. Steps to prevent all of these bad things is to burn less fossil fuels. Like maybe riding your bike if it's closer or buying a hybrid car, so it wont burn fossil fuels. You could also carpool with someone if they live near you so instead of taking two cars you can take one. Hopefully will everybody will follow some of these steps as I said and reduce the amount of POLLUTION!!

In 50 years, when I'm 62, I think that the Earth will be a dying planet, or at least the life on Earth will be dying. I think that we will have more eco-friendly technology that will have slightly removed some of the damage to the planet. I think that people will think of a polar bear as an old animal that hasn't been in the wild for a long time, but many of the other animals are being affected too. I think that the outside world that used to be full of nature will rarely be visited, because both that humans are becoming fatter and lazier, as well as the fact that much of the natural world has been destroyed and people like to pretend that they are doing something about it, but are doing so little that it doesn't go any further than slowing the process of the damage that they are causing! People will stop being stupid and come to their senses and stop importing everything. sure they are doing that, but by then the alternitive for oil will be running out. Even things like sugar cane to make energy will be so hard to find that they might be close to running completely out. I don't think people will ever realize that finding different things to make energy out of won't work we need to reduce our want for the useless things that use the energy. I think that the world will be in the hands of us lazy human slobs that take advantage of the fact that we are in charge of what happens and keep ourselves alive without care, but who knows I might be wrong.

In 50 years, when Im a grandpa, I think the world will raise 5 degrees in tempeture. This will be a problem because the polar ice cap will melt like a popsicle in the sun. If this happens, world flooding will occur leaving 100000s to drown. The places that flooded will also grow diseas such as cholera and typhoid. Climate heat will rise even more causeing unspeakable damage.

In 50 years I think that the temperature would have increased by about ten or twenty degrease. There would probably be a lot of fish species and species that weren't as adaptable that would die out. Some species that live in warmer climates would move up north. The food chain might get mixed up because there are more animals up in the north and because of the species dieing off. Some parts of the poles would melt. This would cause water levels to rise and for people to move away from the shores. instead of all of this happening we can do more things to reduce green house gasses. Some of the steps we can take to stop this is to recycle and to stop using fossil fuels. We can also stop cutting down trees. We can use windmills and solar panels to make electricity. We can all use electric cars powered by the energy we make using the windmills and solar panels. If we take these steps we can keep the climate near what it is today. Also since we took these steps we wont have to pay as much for electricity because we don't have to mine for fossil fuels. This is what I want this world to be like when I am sixty two.

In 50 years I will be 61 and I do not think that the temperature will rise dramticly. Many ways provided have had a problem, such as a hybrid car. A hybrid has tons of technolgy in it, very high tech, and great! But, in six or ten years the technolgy in the car won't work and you'll have to pay for a brand new one, or scientists will come up with something that "saves twice the amount of gas as a hybrid". Also to make a bike you need energy, its better than a car but still. Now, I'm not saying we should go throwing candy wrappers out the window, that would be dumb, but I'm saying that we don't need a bike or a car. We have two legs for a reason, just walk! Walking uses no gas EVER and has no down side. Also I love wind power, just how do you make those windmills? If you haven't noticed the pattern here all of these things are old, what I mean is cavemen walked, and windmills have been around since 600 A.D.. The world has a cycle and we are rushing it, so we should help. I do think we should recycle and help the eviroment. A good way to help is turn off the lights when it bright outside. Also as I said before walking. As my finale sentence I just think that press is making a HUGE deal of "global warming" and some ways to prevent it is not correct but we should all help.

50 years from now I hope the earth will better! People will start to drive energy efficient cars that (in 50 years maybe, just maybe) will run on something crazy like water or something. But I hope the earth will be nicer, safer and the atmosphere will be the right size/stop getting bigger. The atmosphere lets enough heat out that the earth is a sustanible temperature for humans to live on but in 50 years it will be a little bit hotter on a regular bases. It will do that because the green house gasses we are releasing in the air is making the atmosphere bigger which traps more heat in the atmosphere which can't get out. If we stop releasing green house gasses in the air it will trap just enough heat in so we can live regularity. The polar ice caps will begin to melt overtime... it won't be good. It will be just like it rained heavily a lot/ water everywhere. In 50 years if they hadn't built cars that run on useless things. I hope a ton of people will drive hybrids so the earth and our health will be better to live on. People should also stop using fossil fouls, cutting down too many trees, drive crazy cars that run on something different or hybrids, we can make windmills and solar paneled things to get electricity instead of other ways to get electricity. If people do those things it will reduce the green house gasses and make the world a better place to live!

A world free of problems, world peace, and solutions to everyting, that
would be nice in 50 years from, but let's face the facts it's not reality. The
human race does give up a large carbon footprint but what we can do as the future
is to help out conserving the enviroment in which we live in and influence others.
To be more specific what we can do are simple things like shutting off a light when
leaving a room to doing something big by inspiring your whole community to use
recyclable shopping bags. Doing these small steps can lead to something huge like
getting everyone to do it, a conserving footprint.Today scientists around the world
are finding ways to make conserving easier for us so we don't have to aviod the latest
technology. Some new inventions are solar panels, hybrid machines, and chemicals to help reduce the
layers of greenhouse gases. So in the end it will take a while to wipe up the remains of
    our mess.

In fifty years i will be 61 and I don't think that the tempeture will rise dramatically but I do think that earth won't be doing well if we keep treating it the same. This world is a previledge not a right so we should treat it one. Everyone can pitch in to make this world a better place in 50 years. I think that teaching the younger generations is a good idea so that they only now how to be enviormentaly friendly and "green".

I would like the world to be a very happy and healthy place to live 50 years from now. To be a place of peace and happiness. In order to get to that goal we all need to make our own live cleaner and healthier than they are now. We all need to all make it clear to one another that if we don't make our world happy now that it will never be happy again. You see, the world in a way is kind of like a kid with a stomach ache. They can't get better unless they receive the proper amount of help and medicine. If you don't understand what I'm saying it's that we, all the people in the world, are the medicine and only we can get rid of the stomach ache. You as an individual can use the three"R"s, Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. Use less water, take shorter showers, turn off the water while you brush your teeth. Switch you incandesent light bulbs to flouresant. It is with theese simple steps that we, as the human race, can save our planet. It's the only one we've got, so lets protect it as we pretect ourselves, our friends, and our families from harm. Together we can cure the Earth's stomach ache we can save ourselves.
